Which is the worst of all worlds: Hurricane Florence or Hurricane Irma?
Posted On October 19, 2021
Hurricane Florence is not a Category 5 hurricane but it is a Category 4 hurricane, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC).
The center did not immediately update the number of deaths.
Irma is a category 4 hurricane and is the most powerful storm to make landfall in Florida since 1900.
The storm is still moving west, with winds of more than 100 mph, according the NHC.
A Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services spokesperson told Newsweek that there was no immediate impact on farm operations.
“Farmers across the state are doing their best to prepare for Hurricane Florence,” the spokesperson said in an email.
