A man who was found dead and his wife critically wounded in a rattlesnorite attack in Tennessee is now listed in critical condition.
The couple’s dog was also injured.
The Tennessee Department of Health says they have a 20-year-old male with a gunshot wound and a 23-year old female with a bite wound to the head.
Officials say both are expected to survive.
Police say they were searching a home on the city’s west side Wednesday when they found the victims inside.
The homeowner says he did not see the rattlesor attack but found his wife, who was critically injured, in a room.
She was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead.
Officials said they were called to the home on an unrelated complaint around 1:30 p.m. after the man was found unconscious inside.
He was taken into custody.
